Have you got the look?” H2MI™ is excited to offer you an opportunity to showcase your designs at our first-ever H2MI “How To Make It” in the Entertainment Industry Conference, taking place this Spring. If you’re an aspiring Fashion Designer, here is your chance to showcase your talent, in our Fashion Designer Competition for a panel of fashion industry executives, fashion experts, fashion enthusiasts and the general public. The competition will be held on September 17th – September 18th, 2010 and the top 4 designers will move on to the final competition held on September 19th, 2010 where the winners will be announced.

Fashion Designers. in order to be considered for this competition, you MUST submit your entry by either,
- Completing the Online Entry Form
- By attending the “In Person” Casting Call on the following dates/locations:
April 2, 2010 The Assembly 495 Sylvan Avenue Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632-2936 8pm – 11pm
April 8, 2010 Forbidden City 212 Avenue A New York, NY 10009-3414 8pm – 11pm
Entrants choosing to attend the “In Person” Casting Call must adhere to the following submission guidelines and requirements:
- 1. Submit a maximum of 2 garments that showcase your creativity and vision
- 2. Be prepared to explain your garment(s) to our panel (you may use no more than 2 models for display)
- 3. Submit a bio and a photo of your work (this will not be returned)
- 4. Contact Info: phone number and email address
- 5. Please note, if you are selected you must be prepared to submit your $200 deposit to secure your place in the competition as part of the total $500 registration fee.*
In addition to media exposure and the opportunity for your designs to be seen by thousands of industry executives, the winners will receive the following:
- 1st Place – $2000.00 cash, magazine spread, and a photo shoot.
- 2nd Place – $1000.00 cash.
- 3rd Place – $500.00 cash.
As the saying goes, “you gotta be in it to win it”
We highly recommend that you submit your design samples via our casting call. There are only a limited number of slots available and we are anticipating a high level of response. If you are unable to attend, please submit using the email details listed below. No submissions will be accepted via snail mail. Those selected to perform at the H2MI Conference will be notified by email, and event letters will be distributed.
